Advertising Resources 3 : Text Ads

Today we will be looking at words. No, it is not to express my love for you, but rather take you on an advertising journey which will help you build your list!

Words are a very powerful resource for advertisement. Look at Google Ads, advertisers are willing to pay so high for some keywords. They are paying it because that keyword is competitive, yet their conversions must be good for them to be able to use the service.


Words, if used properly, can entice people to opt-in to your list.


So what words should we use? Let us see what will entice people to click on our ads and what will make them want to subscribe into our list!


Below, I will discuss a few words which can get your campaign up and running and successful.


1. First word which you should use will be, “You”!


When you want to share something, sell something, or get people to opt in to your list when you offer something, you have to think from the point of view of your prospects. Instead of always saying “how I make thousands”, “how i build a list of thousands within 5 days”, or phrases similar to these, say “how product A will be able to make you thousands”, “how you can start building a list of thousands”. Let’s be frank, when I read a sales letter or a text ad, I am not interested in how successful you are, I am only interested in how I can be successful. So, always imagine yourself talking to one of your prospects, explain to them with the shortest phrase on how you will be able to help your prospects. Always use the word “you” in your ads instead of “I”.


2. “Discover”


This is a powerful word to use. When this word is used, it gives a sense to your prospects that they will gain something insightful, and they will be discovering it themselves. When you use this word, there is no feeling of superiority between you and your prospects. They do not have the feeling that something is being sold to them (people hate the feeling of being sold something forcefully). This way, they will accept your ads and what you are going to offer with an open mind.

Don’t look down on this word.


3. "Words which evoke positive response."


What words do this? Example of words are explosive, overcome, success, scientifically proven, urgent, free, limited time etc. These are the words which I am sure you can try to put into any ads. What do you feel when you see these words in ads? The next time you noticed these words, stop a while and think about how do you feel. Does it make you have a stronger feeling to click on that ad? :)


Other tips on getting your ads are using special marks such as “****” or “---” or anything creative you can come out with. The first thing your text ads have to do is to grab the attention of your prospects. However, always read the terms whether you can do so. If you can, do it.


4. Highlight these powerful words (with html) so that those are the words which will be first noticed by your prospects. In the Internet world, people wants everything to be done fast. They will not be reading what you have written. However, if you highlight the important things you want them to notice or discover, they will read what you have highlighted. So what did you first read when you read this paragraph?


The last thing is to know your prospects and the lingo that they are using. For PTC users, trusted admins, paying admins are strong words. However, always back them up with real proof or they will cancel their subscription with you even if you have them opt in. This is the reason I seldom promote my list with very new programs. In the near future, you will be building your list in other niches. Always remember this rule, what lingo does your prospects use.
